Sales Representative, Insurance Sales
Inside Sales Representative responsible for telephone marketing and sales of insurance products to members and clients. Responsibilities include making outbound and inbound calls, prospecting new life, health, disability, dental and other product lines, meeting individual sales and quality targets, analyzing sales reports, utilizing marketing campaigns, preparing quotes and applications, follow‑up on pending transactions, documenting activities in the CRM system, responding to inquiries and resolving issues, and maintaining product knowledge and selling techniques.
Key Responsibilities- Make and receive telephone calls to sell insurance products to prospective members/clients.
- Prospect and produce new sales in life, health, disability, dental and other insurance lines offered through the Affinity Group.
- Achieve individual sales and quality of business targets.
- Analyze sales reports and data to monitor progress and identify improvement opportunities.
- Use marketing campaigns and advertising to meet monthly and annual sales goals.
- Calculate and present quotes, write insurance applications, and follow up on pending or incomplete transactions.
- Document sales activities in the CRM system.
- Respond to member/client inquiries and resolve problems professionally and timely.
- Refer unresolved questions to an appropriate resource.
- Maintain insurance product knowledge and selling techniques.
- Minimum 1 year of sales experience, preferably in the insurance industry.
- Insurance sales and/or telemarketing experience preferred.
- Basic PC skills, including spreadsheet and word processing software.
Base pay: $15.48 per hour (fixed). Eligible for an uncapped commission plan. Total compensation estimate for first‑year rep ranges from $50,000 up to $60,000, inclusive of base pay and commissions.
