Position Overview

Job Description Balancing Sales Specialist. Since 1919, Victaulic has led the industry and continues to grow our outside sales team. We move forward and strive to grow. Responsibilities
  • Become the expert: learn all about Victaulic’s products and solutions to help customers get projects done on time and within budget.
  • Know the industry: learn grooved mechanical pipe joining methods and competitive methods such as welding and flanging, and use that knowledge to address objections.
  • Understand the business: work with your Regional Sales Manager to develop a business plan, including opportunity mapping, sales goals, product promotion plans, and strategies to maximize sales potential.
  • Execute all phases of project pursuit and management from inception through design, bidding, job site training, final commissioning and after‑sale follow‑up.
  • Gain complete information for all quotation requisitions and lead the inside sales team, engineering and support staff to meet customer requirements.
  • Build strong relationships: develop trust with mechanical contractors, engineers and owners; spend time with customers, including evenings and weekends; maintain relationships and partner with local distributors.
  • Educate and influence: learn customers’ needs, educate them on overall value of Victaulic products, and influence decision-makers to maximize sales potential.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Previous sales experience selling value‑added products in the commercial construction industry, PVF industry (pipes, valves, fittings) or mechanical products.
  • Demonstrated achievements in sales and ability to develop and nurture long-standing relationships.
  • Competitive nature, flexibility, resiliency and self‑motivation to work remotely with minimal supervision.
  • Professional image, confident and affable personality with strong problem‑solving, resourcefulness, creative thinking, organization and time‑management skills.
  • Project management skills and willingness to travel, including overnight travel for some territories.
