Position Summary
We are seeking entry‑level, part‑time sales associates to work in pawn store locations nationwide. The Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate partners with the entire staff to ensure customer service on both the lending and retail sides of the business. The associate greets, engages, and interacts with customers in a positive and professional manner to process sales, loans, and other transactions involving a wide variety of merchandise, including tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations), and more.
CompensationHourly wage ranging from $15.00 to $18.00 per hour. The position includes a commission structure that pays the associate for every transaction processed. Associates can earn up to 8% on transactions, which could average an additional $5.60 per hour on top of the hourly rate.

- Greets and interacts with all customers to develop rapport and recommend appropriate financial solutions.
- Performs non‑management open/close procedures.
- Maintains a clean, stocked sales floor and display of merchandise.
- Processes sales and loan transactions in accordance with established policies and regulatory requirements.
- Handles all cash and negotiable items in accordance with established policies and regulatory requirements.
- Answers incoming calls per company standards.
- Communicates the legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
- Communicates effectively with coworkers and managers, showing respect and using effective communication tools.
- Partners with all employees to create a positive and memorable customer experience.
- Successfully completes assigned training.
- Completes other related duties as assigned.
- Must be willing and able to lift or carry up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to perform duties and tasks for extended periods of time, including standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting.
- Ability to work with firearms and become firearms certified.
- Employees may be asked to assist a customer on or outside the property and retrieve products from exterior storage.
- Minimum age 18 years old.
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
- Strong desire to work with customers and be team‑oriented.
- Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations proficiently.
- Cash handling experience is preferred.
- Should be able to work in multiple locations as business needs dictate.
- Must work a flexible retail schedule, including weekends and holidays.
- Computer literate and able to operate Point‑Of‑Sale (POS) systems and common office machines.

The commission incentive plan is proprietary to First Cash. Pawnbrokers can earn 2–8% commission based on the gross profit of their personal performance. Details of the commission incentive plan are provided during the interview process.
