What You'll Do- Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or members of the public by carrying out site-specific procedures, access protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
- Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns according to site procedures.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and/or property damage.
- Monitor entrances, lobbies, and other assigned areas to help control access, verify authorized entry, and/or provide directions and assistance as needed.
- Support public-facing operations by observing for policy violations, addressing routine issues professionally, and communicating with supervisors and/or local authorities when appropriate.
- Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
