Position:
Pipefitter
Location:
Springfield, Illinois, United States
Pay: $30-$34 per hour (DOE)
Hours: 45-55 hours per week, including some Saturdays
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Pipefitter to join our team in Springfield, IL.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in installing and maintaining piping systems, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced industrial environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair piping systems in industrial and commercial settings.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams accurately.
- Cut, thread, and assemble pipe materials with precision.
- Ensure all installations comply with OSHA and company safety standards.
- Perform inspections, maintenance, and troubleshooting of piping systems.
- Work with a variety of materials, including metal, PVC, and copper.
- Proven experience as a pipefitter or in a related role.
- Strong knowledge of pipe fitting techniques, tools, and materials.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Must have current OSHA certification and follow all safety regulations.
- Must pass pre-employment drug screening.
- Certification in pipe fitting or related trade is a plus.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing schedules.
