Martin Transportation Systems has an opening for a Working Shop Foremanat our Springfield, ILterminal. This position would be overseeing a 3 shift operation with standard day hours.
REQUIRMENTS- Knowledge and experience with the following engine systems:
- Cummins
- Detroit
- Knowledge of different tires & cost of maintaining tires on tractors and trailers
- Cost of maintaining tractors and trailers
- Maintain and preserve proper inventory management
- Familiar with outlook
- Basic knowledge of how to use excel
- 3+ Years diesel mechanic experience
- ASE certified
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Professionalism-in both employee management and customer service
- Transportation or automotive management experience a plus
- Knowledge of compliance with OSHA and DOT regulations a plus
- Demonstrated track record of achievement and success
- Competitive and driven to succeed
- High initiative and high energy and high expectations
- Independent thinking and problem-solving skills
- Self Motivated
