Field Service Engineer | Additive Manufacturing
My client, a global manufacturer in the additive manufacturing sector, is seeking a Service Engineer to support customers across the Midwest. This role involves extensive travel (up to 90%).
The Service Engineer will be responsible for installing, commissioning, maintaining, and repairing advanced manufacturing equipment at customer sites. The role combines hands‑on technical work with customer‑facing support, training, and troubleshooting to ensure high service standards and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:- Installation, commissioning, and servicing of additive manufacturing equipment
- Preventive maintenance and fault diagnosis (electrical & mechanical)
- Customer training and on-site technical support
- Remote troubleshooting and service reporting
- Coordination of spare parts and service logistics
- Technical degree or equivalent field service experience (additive manufacturing or CNC preferred)
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
- Ability to read technical drawings and schematics
- Comfortable working independently in a fast‑paced, travel‑heavy role
- Strong communication and customer‑facing skills
