Job Overview
Mobile Engineer - HVAC/R and facility maintenance. Responsibilities include operating, inspecting, and maintaining HVAC, refrigeration, mechanical, electrical plumbing, and production equipment to ensure efficient operation and low downtime.
Responsibilities- Operate, inspect, and maintain all HVAC, refrigeration, mechanical, electrical plumbing, and production equipment, ensuring energy efficient operation and reducing downtime through proactive maintenance.
- Perform inspections and repairs to assigned property interior and exterior areas, including walls, flooring, fixtures, roofing, lighting, etc.
- Provide preventive maintenance and repair response work orders on mechanical, electrical and installed systems; maintain, operate, and repair all HVAC/R systems and equipment.
- Conduct facility inspections and due diligence, and report on conditions impacting client occupancy and operations.
- Submit P-card receipts daily and update work order status in real time using CMMS systems such as Corrigo.
- Maintain a valid state driver’s license; be available for call-in work and perform other duties as required.
- Universal CFC recovery certification (or within 90 days of employment).
- Minimum of four (4) years of technical experience in all aspects of building engineering with a strong background in HVAC/R, plumbing, electrical, and production equipment repair and maintenance.
- Knowledge of overall system design and applications.
- Experience troubleshooting and maintaining commercial refrigeration and/or supermarket refrigeration.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Experience utilizing CMMS (Work Order) systems.
- Working knowledge of computer applications including Word and Excel.
- Two years of trades school or documented apprenticeship in electrical systems, refrigeration, and HVAC.
Mobile position covering Chicago, IL and surrounding area. On-site location:
Chicago, IL. Standard business hours with on-call availability.
Estimated annual salary: $82,700.00 - $ USD.
