Ameren Illinois is seeking an Apprentice Substation Electrician 1st (9 months) to perform substation maintenance and construction activities, including replacement of Oil Circuit Reclosers, overhauling and maintaining Oil, Gas, and Vacuum Circuit Breakers, testing AC/DC control circuits, and handling emergency callouts.
Candidates should have a High School Diploma or equivalent, and an Associate’s degree in electronics or electrical engineering technology is preferred.
