American Equipment HR LLC (AmQuip Crane Rental) seeks an experienced Crane Service Technician to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair mobile and crawler cranes for industrial, commercial, and infrastructure projects. In this safety-focused, team-oriented role, you'll perform inspections, diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance on hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical systems in the field and shop. Expect hands-on work on complex lifting projects, adherence to strict safety standards, detailed service documentation, and opportunities for technical training and long-term career growth.
Responsibilities
- Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair mobile and crawler cranes and lifting equipment at customer and company sites
- Perform preventive maintenance, load testing, adjustments, and calibrations to ensure safe crane operation
- Diagnose hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical crane systems using diagnostic tools and technical manuals
- Complete detailed service reports, maintenance records, and safety documentation accurately and on time
- Collaborate with operators, project managers, and safety staff to plan and execute service work safely and efficiently
- Respond to field service calls, sometimes after-hours, and travel to customer jobsites as required
- Follow all OSHA, company, and site-specific safety policies, including lockout/tagout and fall protection
- Support crane commissioning, setup, and tear-down on complex lifting projects as needed
