American Equipment HR LLC (AmQuip) seeks an experienced Crane Service Technician to service and repair mobile and lifting cranes for industrial, commercial, and infrastructure clients. In this field role, you'll diagnose hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical issues, perform inspections and preventive maintenance, and support safe crane operations on active jobsites. You'll work with in a safety-focused, team-oriented culture, receive technical training, and gain exposure to complex heavy lift projects with clear paths for career growth in field operations and related roles.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair mobile and tower cranes and lifting equipment at customer and company sites
  • Perform preventive maintenance, adjustments, and safety checks per manufacturer and company standards
  • Diagnose hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical crane systems using diagnostic tools and technical manuals
  • Document work performed, parts used, and inspection findings in service reports and maintenance systems
  • Collaborate with lift planners, operators, and project teams to support safe crane operations on jobsites
  • Follow all OSHA, company, and client safety policies including lockout/tagout and fall protection requirements
  • Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and service bulletins to complete complex repairs
  • Coordinate with parts and logistics teams to order, track, and install required components
  • Train operators and customers on basic equipment care, safety checks, and proper equipment use
  • Travel to field locations and respond to urgent service calls, sometimes outside standard hours
