1099 Independent Contractor Opportunity Crest Healthcare Group is seeking an experienced Traveling Maintenance Technician to provide maintenance and repair services at our long-term care facilities throughout Central Illinois. This is a 1099 independent contractor opportunity requiring regular travel between facilities in the Springfield, Charleston, and surrounding areas. We are looking for someone dependable, experienced, and comfortable troubleshooting and completing projects independently.

• General building maintenance and repairs
• Drywall repair, patching, and painting
• Basic plumbing and minor electrical repairs
• Carpentry and general remodeling projects
• Repair doors, fixtures, hardware, and equipment
• Troubleshoot maintenance issues and determine appropriate repairs
• Complete preventative maintenance and facility projects
• Communicate project status and completed work with facility leadership

• 2+ years of maintenance, construction, remodeling, or related experience preferred
• General knowledge of plumbing, drywall, electrical, carpentry, and building repairs
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel regularly throughout Central Illinois
• Dependable, organized, and professional

• 1099 independent contractor
• Work available across multiple Crest Healthcare Group facilities
• Regular travel required
• Projects and hours may vary based on facility needs
• Competitive contract rate based on experience and scope of work
