Job Description: Blazer Jobs, in collaboration with schools in Maywood, IL, is seeking a compassionate and dedicated School Social Worker to join our team. School Social Workers play a crucial role in supporting the social, emotional, and behavioral well‑being of students, families, and school communities. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of social work principles and be committed to helping students overcome barriers to success.

Responsibilities:

• Provide individual and group counseling to students, addressing social, emotional, and behavioral concerns.
• Conduct assessments to identify student needs and develop intervention plans.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and community agencies to support students' academic and social-emotional development.
• Assist in crisis intervention and response as needed.
• Advocate for students and families to ensure access to necessary resources and services.
• Maintain accurate and confidential records of services provided.

Requirements:

• Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited program.
• Valid Illinois Professional Educator License with School Social Worker endorsement.
• Clinical social work licensure (LCSW) preferred.
• Experience working with children or in a school setting is preferred.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check and provide professional references.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Dedication to promoting the well‑being and success of students and families.
