Minimum Starting Salary: $23.90 per hour / 37.5 hour work week

The Student Support Coordinator provides comprehensive case management and coordination of student services to support academic success and overall well-being. The position manages and responds to complex student concerns, including crisis and emergency situations involving mental health, medical, social, economic, and transitional challenges. The coordinator coordinates timely and appropriate responses to student needs, including assessment, referral, and follow-up support, develops and monitors individualized success and aftercare plans, collaborates with campus and community partners, and supports outreach, training, and program development.

• Provides case management and coordination of campus and community services for students experiencing complex or high‑risk concerns.
• Maintains ongoing communication to assess needs, monitor progress, and ensure timely access to appropriate resources; serves as an advocate for student success.
• Collaborates with campus departments and external partners, including counseling services, health providers, public safety, and community agencies.
• Develops, implements, and monitors individualized success and aftercare plans.
• Provides consultation and guidance to faculty, staff, students, and families regarding risk assessment and intervention strategies.
• Provides supportive intervention and crisis response as needed.
• Conducts outreach, prevention programming, and training to increase awareness and capacity to respond to students in distress.
• Assists with functional supervision of graduate interns and student staff, as applicable.

• Bachelor's degree with a major in social work, behavioral science, or related health specialty from an accredited college or university.
• OR Master's degree in social or behavioral science or related health specialty from an accredited college or university.
• One year of progressively more responsible full‑time experience in social services/agencies, medical/clinical, or student support services setting.

• Basic knowledge of social work practices.
• General knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer service.
• Knowledge of psychology concerning human behavior.

• Social perceptiveness skills.
• Ability to establish good working relationships with other professionals, community agencies, and students and families.
• Ability to communicate effectively in writing.
