School Social Worker (LOA / Maternity Leave Coverage) - 2026
Location:
Kankakee County
Grade Level: 8th Grade
Caseload: ~25 students
Schedule:
Monday-Friday | 7:25 AM - 3:05 PM (37.25 hrs/week)
Contract Dates:
August 17, 2026 - December 4, 2026 (leave coverage)
Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and/or small-group counseling and social-emotional support
- Support behavioral intervention planning and student success strategies
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to address student needs
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to student support planning
- Maintain timely, accurate documentation per school and state requirements
- Illinois School Social Worker License
- Illinois PEL with School Social Worker endorsement
- School-based experience strongly preferred
