Proof of Concept Software Development Intern

Overview

Shure offers a challenging, fun and rewarding summer internship program. The twelve‑week program is open to undergraduate and graduate students. Interns receive a competitive salary, and those relocated to Illinois will receive a housing stipend. The position is available as remote, onsite, or hybrid, based in Niles, IL.

Software Development Intern

Focus: proof‑of‑concept projects exploring emerging technologies and innovative solutions. Work closely with engineers to design, prototype, and test software concepts that may shape future products and platforms.

• Assist in developing software prototypes for new product ideas and technology explorations
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to evaluate feasibility and performance
• Document findings and contribute to technical discussions
• Support testing and debugging of early‑stage software solutions

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, C++, or Java
• Strong problem‑solving skills and curiosity for emerging technologies
• Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment

Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full‑time basis;

Intern compensation ranges from $21 to $40 per hour based on function and year completed in school.
