Overview
Shure offers a challenging, fun and rewarding summer internship program. The twelve‑week program is open to undergraduate and graduate students. Interns receive a competitive salary, and those relocated to Illinois will receive a housing stipend. The position is available as remote, onsite, or hybrid, based in Niles, IL.
Software Development Intern
Focus: proof‑of‑concept projects exploring emerging technologies and innovative solutions. Work closely with engineers to design, prototype, and test software concepts that may shape future products and platforms.
Responsibilities- Assist in developing software prototypes for new product ideas and technology explorations
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to evaluate feasibility and performance
- Document findings and contribute to technical discussions
- Support testing and debugging of early‑stage software solutions
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, C++, or Java
- Strong problem‑solving skills and curiosity for emerging technologies
- Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment
Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full‑time basis;
Shure will not sponsor work visas.
Intern compensation ranges from $21 to $40 per hour based on function and year completed in school.
