Overview

• Our client, CNH, is expanding its Guidance Application team and is seeking multiple Software Engineers to support development of next-generation guidance and automation software. These engineers will help accelerate delivery of new features and functionality within a modern Agile software environment focused on customer-facing guidance applications.

Position Summary

• The Software Engineer will contribute to the design, development, testing, and maintenance of next-generation guidance software applications. The ideal candidate will possess strong C++ development experience within a Linux environment and be comfortable working in a collaborative Agile team responsible for delivering high-quality software solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain application-level software using C++ within a Linux environment.
• Design, implement, and test software features following modern clean architecture principles.
• Collaborate with software architects, systems engineers, UX teams, and fellow developers to deliver new functionality.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, standups, and retrospectives.
• Create and execute test cases associated with feature development.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve software defects.
• Utilize Git for version control and Jira for work tracking and collaboration.
• Support both new feature development and ongoing enhancement of existing applications.

Required Qualifications

• Strong experience developing software in C++ (preferably C++14/C++17).
• Experience working in Linux-based development environments.
• Understanding of object-oriented design principles and software architecture.
• Experience with multithreaded application development.
• Familiarity with Git and Jira.
• Experience working within Agile software development teams.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented development environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Qt and/or QML development.
• Agricultural, automotive, transportation, or other embedded/application software industry experience.
• Knowledge of software testing methodologies and automated testing techniques.
