The role supports the Project SCOPE program in an elementary school, cooperating with the Project SCOPE office, the school principal, and staff to meet the needs of each child with dignity and respect.

• Highly interested in school‑age children
• Warm, positive attitude and the ability to relate with children and adults
• Willingness to fulfill the program goals
• Preferred degree in child care, teaching, or a related field
• Completion of required online training classes (Gateways)
• CPR and First Aid certification (Project SCOPE will provide the class)
• Ability to lift 50 pounds
• Ability to work a split shift

• Collect fees from parents and maintain all bookkeeping records
• Assist in overseeing the Project SCOPE program in cooperation with the Project SCOPE office and the school principal
• Meet the needs of the individual child and treat each child with dignity and respect
• Establish a positive liaison with parents and children
• Assume an equal share of housekeeping responsibilities with staff
• Attend staff meetings and participate in training programs
• Support the school’s rules and staff members
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Coordinator or Assistant Coordinator

Assistant: $17.83 per hour (26–27), no 60 college credit hours

Associate: $18.64 per hour (26–27), with 60 college credit hours
