CDL‑A Driver​/Heavy Equipment & Material Hauler

Position Overview

We’re not just moving mulch and logs—we’re keeping a full‑scale forestry and land‑clearing operation moving. Our fleet includes semis, lowboys, walking floors, and log trailers. We need a skilled CDL‑A driver who can haul heavy equipment safely and pitch in wherever needed.

· Monday–Friday / Weekends as Needed

$28 – $32/hr

• Operate equipment:
  Drive semi trucks, lowboy trailers, walking floor trailers, and log trailers.
• Transport loads:
  Move excavators, skid steers, loaders, feller bunchers, stump grinders, logs, mulch, and other materials.
• Handle customer deliveries:
  Deliver mulch, materials, and equipment to customers safely, professionally, and on schedule.
• Assist with loading/unloading:
  Use loaders, grapples, ramps, winches, chains, binders, and straps.
• Perform inspections:
  Complete pre‑trip and post‑trip checks, secure loads properly, and follow DOT/OSHA safety rules.
• Document everything:
  Record miles, fuel, inspections, maintenance needs, delivery details, and job activity accurately.
• Communicate clearly:
  Alert management to schedule changes, mechanical issues, delivery delays, jobsite problems, or route changes.
• Support the crew:
  Pitch in with basic maintenance, equipment setup, and yard or field support as needed.

• Valid CDL Class A with a clean, insurable driving record.
• Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and load securement.
• Experience hauling heavy equipment, bulk materials, or similar loads.
• Ability to operate or assist with operating heavy equipment during loading/unloading.
• Reliable, self‑motivated, and safety‑focused; you can plan your day and adapt as needed.
• Comfortable working outdoors year‑round in varied weather and terrain.
• Willing to work weekends and flexible hours when business demands.
