Medical Driver - Springfield IL - $16.00

Schedule:

Monday – Friday 11:30 AM – 7:30 PM

• Drive safely in a company-owned vehicle, transporting lab specimens, medical records, pharmaceuticals, X‑rays, hospital supplies, interoffice mail, and related materials
• Operate a hand‑held scanning device to accurately track items throughout the transportation cycle
• Strictly observe operating policies, procedures, and service schedules
• Present a professional image to clients and the public
• Load and unload company vehicles with appropriate equipment
• Demonstrate safe and courteous driving behavior
• Conduct pre‑ and post‑trip vehicle inspections and maintain a clean, neat, and orderly vehicle
• Adapt to varying routes and assignments as needed
• Demonstrate teamwork, cooperation, and adaptability with teammates and clients
• Build and nurture a collaborative Med Speed team culture

• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
• 19 years of age with an active driver’s license held for at least 3 years
• Demonstrated dependability and reliability
• Familiarity with, and ability to adapt to, technology
• Ability to follow procedures closely
• Ability to determine efficient routing between multiple points
• Clean driving record and excellent driving history
• Pass initial and random drug & alcohol screen; proof of COVID‑19 vaccination as required by location
• Ability to lift and carry items up to 50 pounds and lift items from storage racks
• Comfortable walking long distances and standing for long periods
• Must be able to drive a non‑commercial vehicle on various roads and in varying weather conditions
