Warehouse Associate

Permanent Warehouse Associate – Elwood, Illinois

Ryder is hiring a Warehouse Associate to support distribution across the United States. The role involves working with state‑of‑the‑art equipment in a safe environment.

• Perform warehouse functions, including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting.
• Follow performance measurement guidelines of the contract.
• Accurately pick, pack, audit, stage products and load/unload trucks.
• Handle day‑to‑day paperwork such as picking sheets, returns, bills of lading, etc.
• Provide technical and maintenance support for the automated packing system during core shift hours of production.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• At least 1 year of related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred.
• Valid Forklift Operator’s License.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to create and maintain professional relationships at all levels of the organization.
• Highly thorough and dependable.
• Punctual with a good attendance record.
• Can work with minimal supervision.
• Has a high degree of initiative.
• Demonstrates a high level of accuracy even under pressure.
• Can lift, push, or pull up to 35 lbs and stand for long periods.
• Adheres to health and safety methods.
• Flexible with work shifts.
• Detail‑oriented with excellent follow‑up practices.
