Controller (Manufacturing & Operations Accounting)
Salary:
Up to $130,000 base, plus bonus potential.

- Manage day‑to‑day accounting operations including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll oversight, reconciliations, accruals, and financial reporting.
- Assist with monthly financial statement preparation in accordance with GAAP in partnership with parent company leadership.
- Oversee inventory accounting, cost accounting, and manufacturing margin analysis.
- Partner with operations leadership to improve production reporting, cost tracking, pricing analysis, and operational efficiency metrics.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and departmental financial planning.
- Lead process improvement initiatives and strengthen accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Assist with audits, tax support, and external reporting requirements.
- Support ERP and accounting system optimization efforts during scaling and modernization.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with HR and leadership on payroll, benefits, and operational initiatives.
- Participate in physical inventory counts and support manufacturing operations as needed.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting required.
- CPA highly preferred.
- 6+ years of combined public and corporate accounting experience preferred.
- Experience with in manufacturing, inventory‑based, or production environments strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and full‑cycle accounting.
- Experience with cost accounting, inventory management, and operational finance analysis.
- ERP system experience required;
Quick Books and ERP implementation/transition experience highly preferred. - Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required.
- Strong communication skills and ability to partner with financial and non‑financial stakeholders.
- Ability to thrive in a hands‑on environment and manage multiple priorities with accuracy and attention to detail.
