Accounting Assistant

Job Description

We are in search of an Accounting Assistant for our team based in Harwich, Massachusetts. This role offers a long-term contract employment opportunity in the hospitality industry. The Accounting Assistant will be integral in supporting our accounting department, with a focus on payment inquiries, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and administrative tasks.

• Research inquiries related to payments, credit cards, and disputes
• Assist in compiling bills and posting payments for accounts receivable
• Obtain and research statements for accounts payable
• Maintain agreements and conduct data entry tasks
• Provide administrative support, including clerical duties, filing, and answering phone calls
• Use accounting software systems to maintain accurate records
• Utilize Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) for efficient operational management
• Support the accounting functions by ensuring compliance with industry standards
• Handle Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) to ensure the smooth running of financial operations

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is mandatory
• Familiarity with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning is required
• Experience handling Accounting Functions is essential
• Proficiency in managing Accounts Payable (AP) is necessary
• Expertise in handling Accounts Receivable (AR) is a must
