Accounting Manager

Job Description:

We are hiring an Accounting Manager for an aerospace manufacturer in the Springfield, MA metro areathat manufactures precision machine components and has operated successfully for over 40 years.

You will work independently and report to the GM. There are about 40 employees. Experience is needed in doing the month & year end close, preparing financial statements, accruals, reconciliation, doing the AP, AR, Payroll, and producing Financial Reports. The Accounting Manager will serve on the leadership team as a key resource for both leadership and employees, balancing accounting responsibilities with people-focused benefits and personnel support.

The role is great for someone who is talented, smart, and interested in growing their accounting/finance skills and bringing leadership skills.

This is not a CPA role, we need someone who is leading month-end close, does budgeting/forecasting, understands risk management and process improvements and has analytical skills.. Bachelor’s degree in accounting and at least 8 years of experience preferably in manufacturing, with standard cost accounting experience a plus. Recruiter:
