- Manage and oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, fixed assets, and cash management.
- Lead the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements.
- Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), company policies, and applicable regulations.
- Supervise, mentor, and develop accounting staff, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
- Review balance sheet reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
- Coordinate and support internal and external audits by preparing schedules and responding to auditor requests.
- Maintain and strengthen internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial accuracy.
- Oversee sales and use tax, property tax, and other regulatory filings as applicable.
- Partner with Finance, Payroll, Human Resources, and Operations to support business initiatives and improve financial processes.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and efficiencies within the accounting function.
- Ensure compliance with corporate policies, accounting standards, and reporting deadlines.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 5–8 years of progressive accounting experience, including supervisory or management responsibilities
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting
- Experience managing the month-end close process
- Proficiency with ERP/accounting systems such as Net Suite, Oracle, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, Quick Books Enterprise, or Workday Financials
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, and financial modeling
