Springfield, MA – This is a full-time, on-site leadership opportunity where you’ll work closely with executives, project managers, and operations teams to drive business success.
NoteApplicants must have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, along with 5+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience and at least 1 year of construction or mechanical contracting experience.

- Lead all day-to-day accounting operations including general ledger, AP, AR, payroll, billing, and fixed assets.
- Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes with accurate financial reporting.
- Prepare financial statements, executive dashboards, budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses.
- Oversee job costing, project accounting, Work-in-Progress (WIP) reporting, and revenue recognition.
- Partner with Project Managers to monitor project performance, profitability, budgets, and financial risks.
- Manage cash flow forecasting, banking relationships, working capital, and treasury activities.
- Oversee billing, collections, accounts receivable, and cash management.
- Strengthen internal controls, accounting policies, and financial compliance.
- Coordinate audits, tax filings, insurance, bonding, and regulatory reporting.
- Improve accounting systems, financial reporting, and operational processes.
- Recruit, mentor, and develop accounting staff while fostering a collaborative, high-performing team.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 5+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience.
- Minimum 1+ year of construction or mechanical contracting experience.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls.
- Experience with job costing and WIP reporting preferred.
- Experience with Sage Timberline/Sage 300 CRE or similar construction accounting software preferred.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- CPA or CMA preferred but not required.
- Strong leadership, communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
