Responsibilities
Audit & Assurance
- Perform audit and assurance engagements for privately held businesses and nonprofit organizations.
- Execute audit testing, prepare work papers, and document audit findings.
- Apply GAAP principles and auditing standards throughout engagements.
- Identify and communicate accounting and auditing matters to senior team members, managers, and partners.
- Assist in preparing financial statements and supporting documentation.
Client Service
- Build strong client relationships through responsive communication and exceptional service.
- Collaborate with clients to gather information and resolve audit-related questions.
- Deliver high-quality work while meeting engagement deadlines.
Tax & Professional Development
- Assist in the preparation of corporate, partnership, individual, and other tax returns during tax season.
- Continue developing technical accounting and auditing knowledge through ongoing training and mentorship.
- Collaborate with team members while contributing to a positive, professional work environment.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
- CPA eligible (150 credit hours completed or actively pursuing).
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
- Strong work ethic with a desire to learn and grow professionally.
Preferred
- 0-4 years of public accounting experience.
- Experience working with nonprofit organizations or nonprofit audits is a strong plus.
- Experience preparing business and individual tax returns.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and accounting software.
