CAAS Controller – Nonprofit

• Act as the Controller for designated clients
• Advise clients as a consultant on best practices for accounting and finance-related engagements
• Manage multiple clients, projects, work streams, and deadlines
• Prepare and analyze client financial statements and make recommendations
• Foster and build opportunities and attend industry-leading events and trainings
• Maintain knowledge of organizational policies, federal and state directives, and current accounting standards
• Advise management on short-term and long-term financial objectives, policies, and actions

• Seven years of relevant accounting and/or financial experience required
• Bachelor’s degree required; combination of related experience, education, and training may be accepted in lieu of degree
• Public accounting experience preferred
• Experience in Nonprofit highly preferred
• CPA certification preferred but not required
• Prior project management and client management experience preferred but not required
• Knowledge of client organizational policies and procedures, federal and state policies and directives, and current accounting standards

Demonstrates expertise in financial analysis, client management, and accounting best practices, with a strong focus on nonprofit financial standards and project management. Capable of advising on financial objectives and maintaining compliance with federal and state regulations.
