Responsibilities

  • Maintains a Daily Teacher Attendance Log, keeps record of staff’s time and related records for substitute teachers and collaborates with the Assistant Principal.
  • Maintains Power School technology with updated pupil information.
  • Maintains updated records on the School staff.
  • Performs word processing, typing and proofing of letters, documents and memoranda of more than average difficulty from clear copy, rough draft, recording machines or data personally developed.
  • Prepares the School’s TLM Payroll and supplemental pays and submits them to the Payroll Department at the Central Office in a timely manner.
  • Prepares MUNIS requisitions and maintains purchase orders.
  • Welcomes visitors, responds to their inquiry and/or directs them to the appropriate person.
  • Operates fax and copying machines to duplicate various forms, bulletins and notices.
  • Organizes and maintains office files.
  • Answers the telephone, takes messages, and forwards them to the appropriate personnel.
  • Provides support to the Principal, Assistant Principal and other main office staff.
  • Performs any other tasks as directed by the Principal and Assistant Principals.
Qualifications
  • Civil Service Eligibility
  • High School graduate
  • Ability to type, word process and proofread letters and documents of more than average difficulty.
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to perform duties and responsibilities with minimal supervision.
  • Willingness to work on the schedule that coincides with the hours of the School.
  • Must be a resident of Springfield.
