Position: Manheim Vehicle Condition Inspector, Concord, MA ($2,000 sign on bonus)

Position

Mobile Vehicle Condition Inspector – Manheim Mobile Inspection Team – Individual Contributor, Management Level – Flexible Work Option; no remote; must work at specified Cox location. Travel required.

Compensation
  • Hourly base pay: $18.22 – $27.36 per hour (may vary).
  • Possible additional compensation: commission, incentive programs.

    • 100% Geo: $15.10 – $18.89 – $22.69 per hour
    • 110% Geo: $16.63 – $20.77 – $24.90 per hour
    • 120% Geo: $18.17 – $22.69 – $27.21 per hour
  • Mobile Inspector – Level 2
    • 100% Geo: $16.59 – $20.72 – $24.86 per hour
    • 110% Geo: $18.22 – $22.79 – $27.36 per hour
    • 120% Geo: $19.90 – $24.86 – $29.81 per hour
  • Mobile Inspector – Senior Level
    • 100% Geo: $18.17 – $22.74 – $27.31 per hour

Job Summary

The Mobile Inspector is a key member of the Manheim Mobile Inspections team responsible for conducting on-site vehicle condition inspections for dealer clients within an assigned territory. The role documents vehicle condition accurately, builds relationships with dealer clients, and supports client trust, marketplace transparency, and inventory flow.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Vehicle Inspection & Documentation: conduct thorough inspections, verify VINs, mileage, etc.; document exterior and interior conditions; perform basic mechanical checks; identify damage.
  • Client Engagement & Territory Management: build trust with dealer clients, educate on Manheim Marketplace, engage to increase volume, adapt schedules, maximize efficiency.
  • Reporting, Tools &

    Collaboration:

    prepare daily reports, use , collaborate with Wholesale Specialists and other Manheim teams, contribute to continuous improvement.
  • Safety, Compliance & Standards: meet production expectations, follow safety procedures, participate in Safety Excellence, comply with inspection standards, perform other duties.
Level‑Specific Requirements
  • Mobile Inspector – Level1
    • Minimum qualifications:

      High School Diploma or GED; minimal automotive knowledge preferred; 0–1 year automotive‑related experience preferred; valid driver’s license; safe driving record; physical/mental demands required.
    • Key responsibilities:

      basic inspections, move vehicles safely, document accurately, develop knowledge.
  • Mobile Inspector – Level2
    • Minimum qualifications:

      High School Diploma or GED plus 3+ years of experience, or alternative combination of degree/certification and 5 years experience; 1–2 years automotive‑related experience preferred; valid driver’s license; safe driving record; physical/mental demands required.
    • Key responsibilities:

      independently conduct detailed inspections, manage schedules, build relationships, use data, support improvement initiatives.
  • Mobile Inspector – Senior Level
    • Minimum qualifications:

      High School Diploma/GED plus 5 years experience, or alternative combination; prior vehicle inspection experience required; strong automotive knowledge; 2–3 years automotive‑related experience strongly preferred; 1 year Manheim Inspections service recommended; valid driver’s license; safe driving record; physical/mental demands required.
    • Key responsibilities:

      advanced inspections, serve as subject matter expert, support onboarding, maintain relationships and quality standards, model safety and professionalism.
Drug Testing

Pre‑employment drug test required. No drug test for marijuana administered. Drug‑free workplace policy applies.
