Operations Manager, Business Development
This role is located in Somerville, MA. We are a hybrid work environment and are in the office 3+ days per week.
Tulip is a spinoff out of MIT, headquartered in Somerville, MA, with offices in Germany, Hungary, Singapore, and Israel.

- You thrive on communicating and can do so across levels, with people from the shop floor to engineering managers to executives
- Your organization skills allow you to prioritize in ambiguous situations for yourself and your team, and you look ahead to risks and mitigate them
- You understand the business impact of operational improvements
- You are ready for a start‑up environment as part of a fast‑growing SAAS company
- You are comfortable working with digital tools and have a willingness to adopt new AI‑assisted workflows as they are introduced to the PS org
- 5+ years of work experience in project / program management, manufacturing / production operations, management consulting, customer success operations or equivalent
- Experience working with multi‑divisional, multi‑geographical customers and managing stakeholders across multiple functions
- Experience working with manufacturing operations
- Ability to develop project plans with owners and timelines, for teams that include customers, partners, and internal resources
- Interpersonal, written and oral communication skills, including running meetings and delivering executive‑level presentations
- You will be among the first practitioners to help Tulip define what AI‑first delivery looks like — training and tooling will be provided, but intellectual curiosity is expected
- Experience with AI‑assisted project tools, knowledge management, or automation platforms (e.g., Zapier, Make, Copilot, Claude or similar)
- Lean/ Six Sigma
- Agile and/ or scrum methodologies
- PMP
- Life sciences manufacturing experience
- Manage project plans, timelines, budgets, and deliverables collaboratively with cross‑functional teams and customers
- Collaborate with internal experts and customers to define project success and requirements
- Lead organization of information and communication to allow teams to focus on project work
- Provide expertise and thought leadership to guide customers through manufacturing digital transformations
- Understand technical project details enough to manage and escalat[e] when needed
- Scope and quote projects for customers
- Contribute to internal process development and continuous improvement
