Overview

Duties and Responsibilities- Evaluating programs and making recommendations for improvements.
- Analyzing and interpreting federal and state law and regulation.
- Assessing best practices and providing technical assistance to clients.
- Managing small projects, staff, and tasks with limited supervision while meeting and exceeding performance expectations.
- Facilitating client discussions and delegating tasks and responsibilities to team members.
- Managing daily project functions and client interaction.
- Participating in sales motions related to the practice.
- Leading proposal writing teams, including writing sections, coordinating efforts, and preparing proposal submissions.
- Preparing other written reports and materials for clients.
- Ability to understand both the service delivery system for programs administered by states and monitored by federal regulators.
- Deep knowledge of complex federal regulations and requirements.
- Strong Microsoft Office application skills, especially data analytics (ACCESS, SQL, SPSS).
- Sound judgment and the ability to seek guidance when needed.
- Attention to detail and the ability to work with large data sets with accurate results.
- Ability to move projects forward within a specific timeline and budget while working at a detailed level.

- Creative problem‑solving ability and a consultancy mindset.
- Dedication to accomplishing goals and challenges presented by clients and management.

- Bachelor’s degree or 5 years of experience required;
Master’s degree (MPA or government‑focused MBA) preferred. - 5+ years of relevant work experience.
- Supervisory responsibility for business analysts.
Some travel required.
Compensation and BenefitsCompensation is based on factors such as office location, role, skill set and experience. The pay range for this role is $70,100 - $85,000. Benefits include medical and dental care, 401(k), PTO, parental leave and bereavement leave.
