The Lab Technician will support laboratory operations, project, and customer needs on-site in Springfield, MA.
Responsibilities Laboratory Operations Support- Glass cutting and preparation
- Glass washing and handling
- Packaging and shipping support
- Interlayer preparation
- Sample preparation and organization
- Laboratory setup and cleanup
- Materials management and inventory support
- LTS support activities
- Sample fulfillment and shipment coordination
- Work request processing
- Documentation and record management
- Data entry and reporting support
- General project preparation activities
- Associate's degree or Technical Diploma preferred. B.S. in Science is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and a demonstrated commitment to safe work practices.
- Effective time-management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with multiple team members and stakeholders.
- Ability to read, understand, and follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.
- Science or technical background with an understanding of experimental methods and critical thinking principles.
- Physical capability to safely learn and perform laboratory tasks, including glass cutting, laminate preparation, equipment operation, and glass lamination processes.
- Ability to work independently after appropriate training and qualification.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word.
- Willingness to learn laboratory procedures while supporting a culture of safety, quality, reliability, and continuous improvement.
The minimum starting rate for this position begins at $35.08 per hour. Compensation is determined according to a structured rate schedule and may be adjusted based on the candidate's qualifications, experience, and relevant skills.
