Position Overview:
The Construction Superintendent is responsible for overseeing daily operations on construction sites, ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with quality standards. This role requires coordination with project teams, subcontractors, and clients to achieve project objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Oversight:
Manage all on-site activities, including scheduling, resource allocation, and coordination of subcontractors.
Safety Management:
Enforce company safety policies to maintain a safe working environment for all personnel and visitors.
Quality Control:
Review construction documents and ensure compliance with project specifications and high-quality standards.
Budget Management:
Assist in cost estimating and oversee labor, equipment, materials, and other project expenses.
Client
Collaboration:
Work closely with clients, project managers, and design professionals to meet budget objectives and fulfill design goals.
Documentation:
Prepare and maintain project records, including RFIs, submittals, and daily reports.
Team Leadership:
Supervise and mentor field personnel, fostering a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
Experience:
Minimum of [6-8] years of experience in construction supervision or a related role.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
Skills:
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational abilities. Proficiency in construction management software and a solid understanding of safety regulations.
Certifications:
Relevant certifications (e.g., OSHA 30-hour, First Aid/CPR) are a plus.
