We are seeking an experienced, hospital-based dentist with a strong academic background for a long-term or permanent role. Ideal candidates are academically oriented, enjoy a broad scope of practice, and are comfortable working in a group practice setting. Opportunities exist for full-time or part-time coverage, with multiple locums supporting department needs.

Hospital provides comprehensive dental care in a hospital-based academic environment. The Department of Dental Medicine serves a diverse patient population, including adults, older adults, and children, with a focus on quality, evidence-based care. The facility is equipped with 7 dental chairs and utilizes EPIC-WISDOM EMR for documentation and patient management.

• Provide comprehensive dental care to patients of all ages (predominantly adults and older adults, including PACE patients)
• Perform general restorative, removable prosthetics, fixed prosthetics, simple endodontics, and oral surgery/extractions
• Collaborate with 5 FTE general dentists and dental residents
• Participate in weekly on-call rotation (1 week every 4–5 weeks, second call; residents first call)
• Maintain accurate documentation in EPIC-WISDOM EMR
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, infection control, and patient safety standards

• DDS degree from a US CODA-accredited dental school (international equivalents not accepted)
• Board Certified in Dentistry
• Active Massachusetts dental license required
• Hospital-based clinical experience required
• Flu vaccination required (no waivers accepted)

• Monday: 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM
• Tuesday – Friday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Weekends:
  Not required
• On-call: 1 week every 4–5 weeks, 24/7 second call

• Strong clinical judgment across general dentistry and hospital-based care
• Ability to perform restorative, prosthetic, endodontic, and oral surgery procedures
• Comfortable managing adult and older adult populations, with some pediatric exposure
• Effective communication and collaboration within interdisciplinary teams
• Proficiency in EPIC-WISDOM EMR documentation
