This full-time, on-site Entry Level Landscape Designer role is based in Springfield, MA. The individual in this role will assist senior designers with developing landscape and hardscape concepts, preparing planting plans, and producing design drawings and layouts. Daily responsibilities include supporting site analysis, gathering measurements and photos, and contributing to project documentation such as plans, renderings, and presentations. The role involves coordinating with project managers and construction teams to ensure design intent is maintained during implementation, as well as revising plans based on client and team feedback.
The designer will also help research materials, plants, and sustainable design solutions while learning firm standards and best practices.
- Candidates should possess foundational skills in Landscape Design and Landscape Architecture.
- Candidates should possess skills related to Landscaping and basic site planning.
- Candidates should possess skills in Hardscape design, such as layouts for patios, walkways, and retaining walls.
- Candidates should possess skills in developing Planting Plans, including plant selection and composition.
- Relevant qualifications include a degree or coursework in landscape architecture, landscape design, or a related field.
- Beneficial skills include proficiency in CAD or design software, hand sketching, and basic understanding of grading and drainage.
- Strong visual communication, attention to detail, and ability to collaborate on-site with multidisciplinary teams are important.
