Position: Hematologist/Oncologist | UMass Chan – Baystate Health

Baystate Health, home of the UMass Chan Medical School-Baystate, is seeking a Faculty Hematologist/Oncologist to join our cancer program in western Massachusetts.

Position Highlights

  • Role:
    Full-time or Part-time Faculty Hematologist/Oncologist
  • Institution:
    Baystate Health - not-for-profit, integrated healthcare system and home to UMass Chan Medical School-Baystate
  • Environment:
    Hybrid role with clinical care, teaching, and research opportunities
  • Teaching:
    Faculty appointment at UMass Chan Medical School-Baystate with opportunities to teach residents, fellows, and medical students
  • Research:
    Opportunities for investigator-initiated, cooperative, and pharmaceutical trials (clinical, translational, and quality improvement)
  • Impact:
    Contribute to the Baystate Regional Cancer Program (BRCP), which treats 70% of the regions patients and sees ~3,000 new cases annually
  • Workload:
    Separate hematology and oncology consult services, hospital admissions covered by medicine service, and flexible clinic schedules tailored to your preferences

Position Requirements

  • Certification: ABMS Board Eligible or Board Certified in Hematology & Oncology
  • Training:
    Completion of an accredited fellowship in Hematology/Oncology

    • Interest in teaching and mentoring future specialists
    • Commitment to patient-centered, collaborative care
