Position Overview
Baystate Medical Center is seeking an experienced OB/GYN Physician to join our OB Hospitalist team. Baystate Health, the only academic center and tertiary care provider in western MA and home to the University of Massachusetts Chan Medical School.
Position Highlights- Work life balance in a supportive and collaborative environment.
- The OB Hospitalist team delivers inpatient obstetrical care only (antepartum, intrapartum and postpartum) 24/7.
- OB Hospitalists work within a multidisciplinary team including Certified Nurse Midwives, OB/Gyn Generalists, Maternal Fetal Medicine specialists.
- The department handles roughly 4,200 deliveries annually, with a high proportion of high-risk pregnancies and a level 3 NICU.
- Flexibility with scheduling, including 12- and 24-hour shifts. Inpatient only. No call. Full time is average of 14 twelve hour shifts per month or 7 twenty four hour shifts per month.
- OB Hospitalist have Faculty appointment to UMASS Medical School-Baystate and will work as core faculty for our 24 OB/Gyn residents as well as support the education of emergency medicine residents, family medicine residents, medical students and advanced practice providers.

QualificationsQualified applicants will be board certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology. Comfortable with complex intrapartum care, and have experience working with residents, Maternal Fetal Medicine consultants, and Certified Nurse Midwives.
