Cardiac ICU Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

Baystate Health is a not-for-profit, integrated healthcare system in western Massachusetts which consists of an academic medical center, three community hospitals and the region’s largest multispecialty group. Our flagship hospital, Baystate Medical Center, is home to the University of Massachusetts Chan Medical School-Baystate.

• Join our cardiac critical care team at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield MA in providing care to our pre- and post-op patients. The team consists of 10 experienced APPs who work closely with cardiac intensivists, cardiac surgeons, invasive cardiologists and heart failure attendings.
• Work in our cardiac ICU and step-down units. Busy traditional cardiac surgical program providing the full gamut of surgical procedures, robust mechanical circulatory support program with durable implantable ventricular assist devices and temporary circulatory support platforms including ECMO.
• Outstanding orientation is provided to all new APPs joining the team. Once fully trained, enjoy a high level of autonomy with 24/7/365 support from intensivists and surgeons.
• This full-time position includes 6 twelve-hour shifts in a 2-week period and is a mix of days, nights, weekend and holidays. We also have a full time nocturnist role and per diem roles available.

• Qualifications:
  
  Acute Care Nurse Practitioners & Physician Assistants with a minimum of 1 year cardiac ICU experience.

Our compensation package consists of a base salary of between $144,600- $183,175 (based on 1.0 FTE, experience level and qualifications) and annual incentive bonus opportunities. The per diem hourly rate is $105 for weekdays and evenings, $115 for weekends, all 7 nights, holidays.
