Baystate Health is a not-for-profit, integrated healthcare system in western Massachusetts which consists of an academic medical center, three community hospitals and the region’s largest multispecialty group. We are seeking an experienced Epidemiologist - Infectious Disease Physician - to join our staff.

Position Highlights:
- Join our growing Infectious Disease Division at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, Massachusetts. Our collaborative team includes 9 infectious disease physicians, 3 advanced practice providers, infectious disease fellows and a strong multidisciplinary staff.
- Serve as an Associate Hospital Epidemiologist, working closely with physician colleagues and a dedicated team of infection preventionists. Protected time is provided for infection prevention and control responsibilities.
- Deliver comprehensive infectious diseases care in both inpatient and outpatient settings, serving a diverse patient population with a broad range of complex infections
- Receive a faculty appointment at UMass Chan Medical School–Baystate at a rank commensurate with your academic accomplishments and experience. Opportunities to participate in clinical research, quality improvement, patient safety, and population health initiatives are available and strongly encouraged.
- Contribute to a comprehensive portfolio of infectious diseases programs, including a Ryan White–funded HIV clinic, a robust antimicrobial stewardship program, a system-wide infection prevention and control program, and a state-funded special pathogens preparedness initiative.

Qualifications: ABMS BC/BE fellowship trained in Infectious Disease with a strong commitment to collaboration, courage, quality and lifelong learning. Ideal candidates will have at least two years of professional experience in infection prevention and control training.
The compensation ranges in the table below represent the base salaries for all positions at a given grade across the health system. Typically, a new hire can expect a starting salary somewhere in the lower part of the range. Actual salaries may vary by position and will be determined based on the candidate’s relevant experience. No employee will be paid below the minimum of the range.
Pay ranges are listed as hourly for non-exempt employees and based on assumed full time commitment for exempt employees.
Infectious MD: $222,000 - $320,000 Per 1.0 FTE
