Job DescriptionDESCRIPTION: Southeast is seeking a dedicated & passionate Advertising & Design Paraprofessional to join our team. As an Advertising & Design paraprofessional, you will work closely with the teachers to support the delivery of a comprehensive & enriching educational program.
POSITION SUMMARY: The vocational paraprofessional works with the shop teachers to ensure that all students succeed in their program. Paraprofessionals provide students with additional support, assist the shop teacher in maintaining a safe learning environment, and tailor activities to meet the individual needs of students.
SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Technology skills/ ability to use computers; programming, online support, online applications/platforms/etc.
- Ability to meet deadlines and carry out initiatives as assigned by your supervisor(s).
- Ability to be flexible with job assignments and performance responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Industry trade experience preferred.
ABOUT SOUTHEASTERN: Southeast is a diverse, multicultural vocational technical high school, which serves over 1700 students. The students balance the rigors of a complete academic course of studies with technical skill training in over 20 career majors. Our students are prepared for college, career, and/or additional technical training upon graduation.
COMPENSATION: Paraprofessionals are school-year employees paid in 21 equal installments from September - June, or from the initial start to the end date.
BENEFITS: Paraprofessionals are eligible for the full complement of employee benefits, including health, dental, vision, life, short-term disability, and long-term disability insurance, course reimbursement, public pension, and more.
