Position: IMMEDIATE HIRE - Adjunct Instructor, Landscaping - Springfield Technical Community College
Job Description:

The landscape design and management program teaches courses about the world of plants, soils, landscape design, and sustainable landscape practices to help a student begin, or enhance, a career in the original "Green" industry. Students learn the core fundamentals of landscape design, plants, and sustainable land management.

Adjunct positions include the following, but is not limited to:

Preparing and delivering learning activities in order to achieve course outcomes

Preparing course materials such as syllabi, homework assignments, assessments, and handouts.

Evaluates and grades students' classwork, laboratory work (if applicable), assignments, papers, and examinations.

Maintains and submits student attendance records, grades and other required documentation by specified deadlines. This includes maintaining the minimum requirements in Blackboard according to the DCE contract.

Communicate effectively and efficiently with students.

Requirements:
AS degree or higher in related field

Advanced communication (verbal, written and interpersonal) and organizational skills.

Sensitivity to respond appropriately to the needs of a diverse population.

A minimum of 3 years of teaching experience, preferably at the community college level.
