General Function

The academic support teacher will assist the regular classroom instructor to meet the needs of a diverse student population. The support teacher may work as a one-to-one tutor, small group instruction, or assist with whole class instruction. This position will also provide support to teachers with classroom tasks and provide substitute coverage as needed at all grade levels, K-12.

Minimum Acceptable Qualifications

Prior experience working with elementary age students is required. Teacher certification is preferred.
