Position: School-Based Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) - Springfield, Massachusetts
Step into a dynamic and supportive educational environment as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for the upcoming school year! This contract opportunity spans from September 3, 2026, through June 24, 2027, and is perfect for those who thrive on variety and collaboration. As a floater COTA, you'll have the chance to work with students across Pre-K through 12th grade, ensuring your days are filled with meaningful connections and impactful interventions.

Your weekly schedule will consist of approximately 29 to 30 hours, offering a balanced workload in multiple school settings. You'll flex your skills supporting students at several sites each week: allocating four hours at one location, as well as two days at both an elementary school and an early childhood center. Each day brings a new setting and the chance to collaborate with diverse teams of educators and students, making a real difference in a school community.

  • Current licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
  • Experience or interest in working with Pre-K through high school students
  • Adaptability to varying sites and schedules

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct occupational therapy interventions as outlined by supervising OTR
  • Support students' educational goals through individualized and group therapy sessions
  • Collaborate with teachers, families, and other therapy staff
  • Adjust treatment strategies based on student response and needs
  • Document progress and maintain records in line with school and regulatory requirements
