Job Description
Minimum 1+ years special education experience required.
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Education Teacher to join our team in an ABA classroom at an elementary school near Methuen,Massachusetts. This full-time position involves working with students with Autism in a structured and supportive environment. You will have the assistance of two paraprofessionals in the classroom to help implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and ABA strategies.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with Autism.
- Utilize Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) techniques to support student learning and behavior.
- Collaborate with paraprofessionals, therapists, and other staff to create a positive and effective learning environment.
- Provide direct instruction in academic, social, and life skills areas.
- Monitor and assess student progress, making data-driven decisions to adjust instructional strategies.
- municate regularly with parents, guardians, and school staff to ensure consistent support for students.
- Participate in IEP meetings, professional development, and team planning sessions.
- Must have a valid Massachusetts teaching certification in Special Education.
- Experience working with students with Autism, preferably in an ABA classroom setting.
- Strong knowledge of ABA principles and techniques.
