Work Schedule: Program:
July 6 – July 30, 2026, 8:00 am – 1:45 pm;
Workplace:
July 6 – July 30, 2026, 7:30 am – 2:00 pm.

Training: Teachers are required to attend mandatory training with Summer Coordinator;
Program Coordinator staff meetings as scheduled.

• Provide instructional assistance under the direction of the teacher to small groups or individual students.
• Assist with clerical services such as preparing, duplicating, organizing, and distributing materials to children and other miscellaneous tasks.
• Assist in feeding during lunch and snack periods when needed.
• Feed, diaper, and assist with personal hygiene as needed.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• Report to Site Coordinator, Special Education Teacher, Special Education Supervisor, and Principal.

• Presently employed as a Special Education Paraprofessional in Springfield Public Schools.
• Has not received a layoff notice.
• Preference given to paraprofessionals presently working in the same program during the academic year.
• Preference given to paraprofessionals who have worked in the extended year program to facilitate continuity of instruction and social and emotional development.
• Availability required for entire program work schedule.
• Must have a secured position for the  school year.
