Under the supervision of the Associate Director for Recruitment, using prospect management techniques, the Assistant Director of Undergraduate Admissions manages recruitment, outreach to students, their parents, and school counselors, and file review for students in a specific recruitment territory. The incumbent also coordinates and manages special projects as assigned by the Vice President for Enrollment Management and Marketing, Executive Director of Undergraduate Admissions, and Associate Director of Undergraduate Admissions.
Actual salaries will vary depending on multiple factors, including but not limited to degrees attained, experience, and other considerations permitted by law. Comprehensive compensation details, including any additional benefits, will be communicated upon finalization of the employment offer.
Establish and maintain an informational, active communication system with high school students, parents, and high school counselors/teachers- Counsels students and their parents concerning admission, financial aid, housing options, and career planning
- Conduct office-based contact by mail, email, text, and phone with students and parents
- Uses prospect management techniques to conduct appropriate outreach to students at each stage of the admissions process
- Manages a recruitment territory
- Develops recruitment strategies
- Plans and arranges all phases of regional and local travel
- Read, interpret, and evaluate students’ academic credentials and makes admission/denial decisions.
- Assists with scholarship appropriation
- Assists with special programs and research projects
- Participates in the development and implementation of enrollment strategies
- Compiles data for reports
- Maintains confidential files
- Maintains calendar
- Inputs/retrieves data with information system software
Manages special project assignments as assigned by the Vice President for Enrollment Management and Marketing, Executive Director for Undergraduate Admissions, and the Associate Director for Recruitment.
Bachelor's degree required. Excellent customer service and communication skills.
This position requires occasional evening, holiday or weekend work to attend open house, Saturday visits, college fairs and night programs. Extensive recruitment travel is required in specific recruitment territory.
