Position: Hiring Special Education Teachers - Near Easton, MA - Elementary Caseload

Job Description

Minimum 1+ years special education experience required.

Special Education Teacher

Location: Taunton, MA

Job Type: Full-Time

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each students specific needs.
  • Provide direct instruction and support to students with disabilities, both in one-on-one and small group settings.
  • Adapt and modify curriculum materials and instructional strategies to accommodate diverse learning needs.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, making necessary adjustments to instructional methods to ensure student success.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of student performance, behavior, and IEP progress.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers to support the integration of students with special needs into mainstream classrooms.
  • Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to discuss student progress, goals, and any concerns.
  • Participate in team meetings, professional development, and training to stay updated with best practices in special education.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Special Education or a related field (Masters degree preferred).
  • Valid Massachusetts teaching license with an endorsement in Special Education.
  • Strong knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues.
  • Experience working with students with a range of disabilities and learning needs.
  • Ability to implement effective behavior management strategies and individualized instruction.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
