Apraxia Sped Teacher for Extended Year Program Summer 2026 (contingent on enrollment, funding, and programming)

Salary: $50.00/hour working with students, $29.10 prep time

Teachers are required to attend mandatory training with Summer Coordinator Program Coordinator Staff Meeting:
Date to be selected by Coordinator. Communicated and facilitated by School Program Coordinator – Coordinator is responsible to train Summer School Staff on selected curriculum and summer expectations.
- Be directly responsible to the Summer Head SLP.
- Provide special education services to the students in the apraxia classroom as outlined in their current Individual Education Plans.
- Work cooperatively with staff of the program.
- Complete all required paperwork and progress reports in a timely manner.
- Perform additional duties assigned by the Supervisor of Speech – Language, Hearing or Summer Head SLP.
- Licensed as a special education teacher.
- Experienced in working with students with severe phonological disorders.
- Currently employed in the Springfield Public Schools.
- Must be available to work for the stated duration of the individual program.
