Paraprofessional:
Early Start Paraprofessionals for Extended Year (Summer 2026) Program

Location: Springfield, Massachusetts.

July 6, 2026 – July 30, 2026, from 7:30 a.m.–2:00 p.m.

Building Principal or designee.

• Provide instructional assistance under the direction of the teacher to a small group or individual student(s).
• Provide clerical services such as preparing, duplicating, organizing, and distributing materials to children, and other miscellaneous clerical tasks.
• Assist in feeding during lunch and snack periods when needed.
• Feed, diaper, and assist with personal hygiene as needed.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

• Presently employed as a Special Education Paraprofessional in the Springfield Public Schools.
• Has not received a layoff notice.
• Preference will be given to paraprofessionals presently working in the same program during the academic year.
• Preference will be given to paraprofessionals who have worked in the extended year program.
• Availability required for the entire program work schedule.
• Must have a secured position for the 2026‑2027 school year.
